I feel overwhelmed just thinking about it.
Time for Greg to brag about german healthcare again. XD
So today I had a dentist appointment to get my root-canal-ed tooth fixed (an entire corner of it broke off), and not only did they manage to fix it right away without ANY painkillers necessary, the new ceramic filling only cost me 50 bux (I cheaped out last time by taking the concrete filling for 0 bux, well that was indeed a mistake), AND most importantly, I could eat right away without needing to wait! (there is a great local Italian Ice Cream place closeby, so I used that opportunity)
This time I will have them put a crown (is that the correct term?) on that tooth because I dont want it to break yet AGAIN. Unsure how much that thing will cost me, but probably cheaper than fixing it over and over again, especially since it also costs time and effort.
Surprise Root Canal! Didnāt see that one coming. Who would have guessed that the other tooth on the left side has the same Issue that the one on the right side had! And who would have thought that the Dentist would go at it right away without needing to wait for another appointment!
And it didnāt even hurt, just like the first time didnāt. Well, cant eat for the next 2 or so hours, that is the only real downside, because damn those dentist things leave a bad taste behindā¦
Putting that metal plate on the first tooth has been postponed until everything else is done, and both can get one. And because I am a very impatient toothbrush user, there is a lot of work to do stillā¦
Anyways, as for GT6 related Stuff, the Pistol is already working and available, the Carbine and Rifle still need Textures and Recipes but are already usable when cheated in properly, which requires a lot of NBT stuff.
Are you adding weapons to GT6? Is that what the bullets were planned for?
See Changelog, and yes that was what the Bullets were planned for, I just never really thought of how I could do the shooting mechanic properly until a few days ago.
How will these weapons compare to Bow and Arrows, in terms of Damage?
Most Mobs will require 2 or more shots to be killed when using the Pistol. The Bigger Guns do double or triple damage, but are more wasteful, especially when magic Bullets are used, since the Enchantments are a flat additive, while the Material costs are multiplicative. Using Guns is difficult unless you have a good Ammo Factory though, so you still might want to use Arrows until then. Also Netherite Bullets are insanely powerful, so only use those on Bosses or Players.
Any chance for automatic guns or gun-based utility tools? Like a mining laser, flare gun or perhaps garden shotgun.
Flare Gun probably no, because Fireworks already exist for that purpose. Mining Laser is a definitive āmaybeā. And I already got scammed by the whole āplay Minecraft, watch Top Gear, get Pigā splash Text, Mojang owes me a Pig damnit!
Also just by the way, your āDuckā Button constantly goes off when I am trying to type something in NEI that contains that letter for the first time in that saveā¦ (I didnt update ntm in quite a while, I still need to do that)
How will this compare to the existing weapons mod?
No Idea, I guess it will just be more compatible then. Also consulting the Changelog might help.
Thereās a config to disable ducking, but why would anyone do that?
For reasons
Ok, my message is too shortā¦
I finally found a decent place where all that NTM armor and weapons are useful - Atum dimension. So many monstersā¦ Advanced alloy armor durability doesnāt last long.
Ghosts drop ectoplasm there, so I made a silktouch drill from spectral iron (iron + ectoplasm alloy). I finally used that earlygame charging trick - using charging crafting table.
Hah, Ectoplasm seems like one of those one off Mod things, but Twilight Forest (GT6 adds it to the Wraiths), Hardcore Ender Expansion, Atum and RandomThings (where Spectre-Iron comes from) are all able to produce it in some way or another.
But fireworks donāt make light! A flare gun could place a torch where it hits, or a temporary block that goes out after some random time or so.
A better IC2 mining laser? Lol.
Well, I just got temporary Metal Plates on my two root canal-ed Teeth. Took almost an hour to file down those Teeth so the Metal Plate could fit ontop of them. The permanent ones are gonna be done later this Month.
I definitely feel better eating Pasta less often, so that one definitely helped with my whole physical energy issue. Doesnāt change that my productive attention is currently somewhere else. XD
Speaking of somewhere else: Dwarf Fortress, yeah I am still playing it, my Fortress is already over 50 ingame years old, and I think I ran out of Fallen Beasts, because none show up anymore. Same for Were-Antelopes, Were-Marmots and the worst of allā¦ Were-Chameleons. (YES THEY HAVE STEALTH LIKE KOBOLDS!)
I also ran out of local Elves and local Goblins to attack me. The Elves have to resort to using Necromancer Experiments to āambushā me, because those Creatures tend to reproduce like mad. It is only enough for two squads of those things though, whenever they do decide to attack me, so my Militia Commander alone can dismember them easily.
The new Hidden Fun Stuff is great, I already got an Ingot of Divine Metal, and thanks to the Dupe Glitch that is STILL in the Steam Version, I now have Rusted Metal Pots, Rusted Metal Bins and ofcourse Rusted Metal Axes and Armor, because that Material Name is totally not misleading!
Right now I am trying to find out how the heck you are supposed to know what type of Decorations the Human and Dwarf Caravans like the most (Elves always like living Trees and hate Spikes or anything that is not vegan).
Right now the process involves āhey look that item they sell looks expensive as heck, lets check the decorations!ā, which with the new Trade Menu which does not allow you to inspect a Good before purchase, forces you to either get scammed buying the thing, or going through the List of Trade Goods in some other Menu in the hopes of finding that one Item.
Now you might think āwhy not create a sample set of Decorations and try to sell thoseā, good fucking luck if itās something as esoteric as specifically that one long dead Queen from that one Generation of that one Civilization youāre trading with.
Whatever it is that my Human Caravan likes, it often shows up when I tell my Decorator to make some Image related to their Civilization. Think that works for the Dwarves? NOPE, they dont give a shit about our Government, they only care about things being banded with basic rings!
I dont really have to find out what they like for monetary reasons, I can sell them a masterfully cooked whip-vine-flourā“ roast stack or two and they will gladly hand me everything they own. But I seriously want to know how the player is supposed to find out about the preferences of non-Elves!
How else am i supposed to create a very specific image that pleases all 3 Caravans! Oh wait you can have more than 3 Caravans, because whenever you make ācontactā with some other Site, they will also send you a Caravan, so you can trade with multiple Caravans in the same Season, at the same time, within the same Trade Depot!
I only really trade for the Stuff i order from the Liaison (Papaya Wood, Aluminium Bars/Ore, Platinum Bars/Ore, etc), all their Gems, their Literature, and then the Metal Garbage to smelt down.
Anyways tangent over, I originally only wanted to post the first two things, and not this huge thing of DF. XD
Have a nice day, or night, or whichever. ^^
That just sounds like a job well done to me.
Keto, definitely keto!
Now that my two teeth have been plated with metal and thoroughly checked for problems (which now all have been fixed in that regard), time for an update.
The āDietā definitely had a positive impact on me the last two months, even if it is not quite how it should have turned out.
What I effectively did was halve my overall intake of pasta by just no longer having seconds/thirds with some leftovers for the evening (yeah I ate a lot of pasta)
Aaand then I replaced it with a meat based snack and random sweets, which was basically leftovers from the bulk purchase of December-only sweets which lasted me a while.
Now by all accounts this SHOULD be just as bad as what I had before, yet SOMEHOW and I have no fucking clue how, I feel better and lost some weight without even trying.
The creative productivity all went into DwarfFortress, where I am still trying out new techniques, such as suppressing āMountainhome Visitor Notificationsā by literally locking all the visiting Nobles in a Room, so they could not leave the map and then re-enter for no damn reason, causing lots of endangered traffic on the surface, and especially lag when Keas show up and enter combat with the Noblesā¦
In case you wonder why I dont kill the Noble Visitors, they get replaced instantly, and if the replacement happens to be one of my citizens I lose part of my workforce. I seriously have to catch them and keep them alive in a sealed Room. So glad Visitors dont need to eat food or drink. Iām sure they dont care much about the rotting corpse of the first of them to die of old age.
The āregularā productivity went into catching up with watching several DnD RPG campaigns and my backlog of sciencey Videos.
Well then, tl;dr: Iām better now, but I still dont do the productive things people want me to, because Iām currently still addicted to DwarfFortress. XD
The meats likely have lots of fats that you were lacking in your prior high-carb diet, and your body needs fats (especially the ones that occur in meats, but also things like fish oil and such).
