Just so you know, there typically is a crapton of fats/cream in the sauce and meat and similar stuff that went with the pasta, not to mention the amount of WHEN i eat pasta is still the same as before, it’s just that I dont take seconds or thirds, so there definitely was not a lack of nutrients, lol.
And that aforementioned meaty snack was only going from 166g before to 2x125g now, not to mention sugary sweets went up by quite a bit too.
All this extra junk and I am still at a loss for weight somehow and feeling better at the same time…

That’s the issue, having excess carbs in the bloodstream causes the cells to focus on using carbs to evacuate the body of them asap, which also causes hormones to release that have the fat cells uptake more fat also asap, and when the carb levels subside then the fat cells go back to equalizing the fat values between the cells and the blood.
I.E. if too many carbs then the body stores fat, else the body consumes fat as energy, and overall using fat as energy is more healthy than using carbs as energy. This won’t necessarily cause weight loss or gain either way, that depends on overall consumption of course, but it does change how you ‘feel’, and the human body is evolved for short rare bursts of carbs but longterm fat burning for energy.

Could be a mild gluten intolerance? Can cause weight gain as a symptom and you’ve said you’ve cut back on the amount of pasta you ususally eat.

Finally got the bill for the whole metal plating the two root canal-ed teeth thing. Only 92 eurobux for both combined (as in for me myself to pay). Significantly less than I expected. And if all the costs I had are combined, a dedicated dental extra insurance would still not be worth it, because my regular health insurance paid so much that only 2x46 were left.
It’s interesting to see how this all plays out financially for a low/no income person like me. And since I barely ever spend money on anything, a hundred bux is quite cheap.
Waaaait, the Ceramic filling (50-60 bux) is slightly more expensive than the metal plating (40-50 bux), when accounting for insurance paying most of it?! Now that is weird… but I value my time too much to have 4 to 5 sessions of dentistry as opposed to just 1, unless it is an important tooth.

Getting two cleanings and two tiny fillings for two adults in the US cost me $1600. I imagine a root canal would cost two cars and three horses.

Well, look at that, the musky bloobirb decided it did not want to be part of the public internet anymore by requiring accounts to view the site. Guess I need to edit the User Fields to replace the field for the elongated bloobirb with a “Social” Field, so people feel more free to enter mastodon or Friendica Links instead.
As for my personal updates, I’m gonna work some more on GT6 for now, because I am still quite a bit worried about the two real life issues that are ongoing in the background, though they are starting to turn out okayish. ^^
I finally got two Beanbags. Planning on eventually sowing them together into one bigger Beanbag. Quite comfy once you know how to sit on them properly.
But yeah, just an update I decided to post because the birb became reclusive a few hours ago, and I cant check announcements from people anymore because of that.

Oh another fun one, on the Website I had to change all the www.curseforge.com links to legacy.curseforge.com because Curse does Error 404 for all Mods that are arbitrarily labelled as “abandonned” including classics like MineTweaker for MC 1.7.10.
Seriously considering to just host my own mirror of the Mods for archival purposes… but I would prefer linking to a dedicated archive website.

Oh I noticed that a couple weeks ago, I thought curse had purged all 1.7.10 mods.
I keep a small archive of mods I use for the very reason that eventually all links will vanish.

Thank God people are moving to Modrinth that “Curseforge” website ist the worst also they started treating Modders worse too. In my Opinion it won’t be long before Curse won’t have any updated Mods if they don’t change anything. FTB already moved on from Curse since last year? If I remember correctly. Also modrinth has a rewards program which treats Modders very nicely from what I heard. Also you can finally filter out non Open Source Mods.
The one thing Modrinth doesn’t have is many older mods but the 1.7.10 page grew by 10 pages in the last 3 weeks. I’m not Interested in anything beyond 1.12. Since it’s literally unplayable on my Laptop I can run 1.7 with 100s of Mods no Problem but 1.19 even vanilla Lags a bunch. Also the split between Forge and Fabric is the dumbest shit ever.

Don’t forget the “really cool” thing Curse does where it will show several pages of mod files by default but for some reason omit ones labeled as “alphas” and most 1.7.10 versions unless you hit the “show all” button. And let’s not forget the old layout the site used to have where, depending on where you were, the page would show two download buttons right next to each other, neither had any description attached to it, and one would download the file you were actually looking at and the other would download the “newest” (newest marked as release, not actually the newest) version.

Holy crap, there is a lot going on. I knew Curse treats Modders like shit, and Modrinth is much nicer, but I sadly also know that Curse gives Modders more money than Modrinth, because getting the Advertisement ball rolling takes quite some time.
I did talk with one of the Modrinth people a few weeks ago, and did criticize the “business model” of using ads in the first place, especially if the Modders would practically only get cents from their 100% cut of the ads on their Project Pages, because Ads dont really make money, unless they are for online gambling (cough curse launcher cough). At least they did admit that their File Hosting is extremely cheap and close to the 5 bux a month that I guessed (because if you pay more than 10-20 bux or so for basic files, you get scammed by the hosting provider), meaning it is not likely for them to just shut down for monetary reasons.
And supporting their Launcher is as easy as unknowingly breaking the ToS of GitHub, LOL. Turns out things like Launchers should never access GitHub Releases Pages, which I did not know about until OvermindDL1 told me recently. At least the GT0 to GT5 Project Pages I made to have a backup of their Releases on GitHub dont have enough traffic to be taken down because of that.

Forums were down again because of the daily Backup eating up too much drive space. Will probably happen again unless we solve it eventually. XD
Anyways, cant wait for my Minecraft Account to be finally deleted later today, because its such an awesome Idea to force people to migrate…
