Devouring Darkness: Discussion thread

yeah, I feel like that would be a more interesting way to play the game. The automation of tnt production would be much more interesting.
(also good to know that the tnt in gt6 is “normal” as it uses gunpowder)

GT has DYNAMITE which is more fun than TNT.

So am i assuming right that Flower eats “Explosion Event” and produces power based on that? If so you can make Dust Blocks of 9 Gunpowder and explode those. Or make Dust Blocks of Flour or Wood and cause a Dust Explosion with some Fire.

The gunblowder dust BLOCKS are insanely explosive. I have NOT tried those. Just vanilla TNT.

Perhaps someone can in SP?

One thing I’ve been considering is using a Thermalilly flower which creates mana from lava source blocks, next to my GT6 lava springs. I should try that soon.

As far as I know Botania only accepts explosions from specifically TNT and only in certain conditions (eg. not being in any liquid, not being a duped TNT)

Wait how the heck do they detect duped TNT? That should not be possible to easily detect.

(how do you even dupe TNT?)

If I needed to dupe TNT, I would GT6-craft it using 4 gunpowder and NTM-shred it into 5 gunpowder. But that’s not fun.

I guess i need to nerf that recipe when NTM is installed…

I already adjusted the TNT shredding recipe when GT6 is installed :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh then guess i can undo that lol

The Entropinnyum generates only a minimum amount of mana if the player tries to exploit the vanilla TNT duplication glitch. The mod will detect if there is any detector rail, moving piston, and slime / honey block in a 7x7x7 area centered around the TNT entity when it is primed. If all three are present, then the TNT will be considered “unethical” and the Entropinnyum will generate only about 1/2000 of the normal amount of mana, making this exploit rather useless.

Uh but the 1.7.10 TNT dupe glitch doesn’t involve Slime Blocks, considering they dont even exist in the first place in that Version.

I’ve got a horrid case of blue gearbox!

i guess i played too much tf2

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I haven’t tested this flower myself, I just assume it would also have similar functionality for 1.7.10 duping

Now I cannot look at the custom gearbox anymore…
(Joke video I made on the topic of gt gearboxes)

hahahahaha i didnt even realize this is the TF2 Logo XD

Almost as bad as me making Tantalum Hafnium Carbide have a GREEN color, because that resulted in being shortened to THC. XD
