Most likely, Thaumcraft does not perceive Gregtech water, so there is no smooth transition from one type of texture to another.

Yeah River Water does not color itself based on Biome and often forms straight lines like this one.

Maybe I should give at least Riverwater the Biome Color Multiplier.
