Can you add some more singleblock solar panels that emit 32, 128, 512 EU/t? Large solar farms do high PC/server load.
They may have recipes like that: 4 previous solar panels, transformer(previous->this tier), wires and circuits. So they’re slightly more expensive than a farm of the same tier.

Will it be hard to make an addon that adds this stuff if I have no Minecraft modding and Java programming experience?

Uhh I dont know, modding can be hard at times. But in on itself a Solar Panel can be easy.

In gt5, Greg has added these high voltage solar panels.But you need to edit your config files to enable recipes because the default setting is false.
In gt5u, these recipes were added normally but they are toooooooo expensive.
A large, multiblock solar panels farm maybe a good idea.
Besides, we can use the heat from the sunlight to turn our water into steam.
