Why not make it possible to use sensors without putting them directly on the machine block, but somehow connecting them. (an item like “linker”, for example). This would save a lot of space and redstone wires if for some purpose it would be necessary to put the sensor away from the machine to which it is attached.

So pretty much the exact same thing Nuclear Control did back in the day.
While the Idea in on itself is good, I am not sure if it feels right with the Design Goals I had in mind when people build their Setups. Universal Extenders exist for a reason.

Miniature portal needs chunkloader. Which chunkloaders work correctly with GT6 without burning cables, disappearing tile entities and other bugs?

I think the one from ftb utils that lets you claim chunks works fine, maybe?
