Sifting Is Inefficient

Is it? I run 3 stacks of purified niter ore each through the centrifuge and through the sifter, then passed the refined ore and the crystals through the shredder. Above is the output of the centrifuge and it’s considerably larger than the sifter’s yield. I thought if the purified ore can be sifted, it gives more product than the centrifuge, but it isn’t (at least for niter). Yes, it does return crystals, but is that it? I guess it should be used only to retrieve crystals from purified ores and to sift gravel and sand ores, am I right?

Yes it is for choice, choice is important, there shouldn’t be “the ultimate way of processing ore”, there should always be choice.

In defense of the Sifter, I am in the low tiers of processing. I got a bunch of granitic black sand as a byproduct, I could centrifuge it, or I could sift it as the sifter will net me silver, something I am eager to get my hands on.

I simply make iron out of it and only from it. I’ve never used hematite for iron making.
