NPCs and player

Hello. It has already been said that it is possible to interact with NPCs separately, as well as with their society as a whole through settlement. NPCs seemed to be only beneficial, but should it be? Will there be NPC settlements that are extremely negative towards players?
Set their culture to destroy the player. (This is the easiest way to implement)
Also realize certain fractions of Gremlins, as well as a tribe of cannibals with the name “Big Eye”. However, in such a technically oriented game no superstitions are needed. Gremlins break technology, as it makes sounds of a certain frequency, preventing Gremlins from living quietly. And cannibals … You can of course link it to something, but let’s say that the player’s meat is a delicacy for them)
These fractions will be implemented as independent NPS without their own settlement, analogues of mobs in Minecraft, but without a random appearance throughout the territory.

Ofcourse NPCs aren’t always beneficial, but there is not much to talk about them as Enemies, since combat would be quite obvious. So I did not think about intentionally making them Enemies in that kind of Style. Though there definitely needs to be dangers of the smarter kind than random Animals attacking you like in Minecraft.

Yes, the player’s confrontation with the NPC will end obviously. However, they have a chance to impede the player’s activities. Gremlins should be given rubber mallets to turn off mechanisms. When a player appears, they will run away. With active pursuit, they stun the player with a hammer and run on. Aboriginal cannibals can also create some difficulties. Eh, James Cook …
