How can i make a soft hammer?

I saw a recipe in NEI which called for a soft hammer head, so i made some rubber and started to smelt it, but it wont go into the hammer head mold… I also read a topic here about a soft hammer from wood but i cant make it either…

Make a wooden hammer head first

Then craft hammer head on stick

Yep. better not throw rubber into cricibles because there’ll be 1/3 material lost.
throw chips directly into the extruder using a hammer head extruder shape.
low heat extruder will work.
