Electric Tools' Durability

Recently, I’ve made an LV wrench with a platinum head. I still don’t quite understand how does it work: what causes it to deplete its durability? What will happen when it reaches zero? Will the whole wrench break or the broken head could be replaced then?

You have both a battery and a tool durability. The tool breaks when you exhaust the durability, but that’s over many charges.

And what’s the best material for that kind of tools? Osmium? I used platinum because of high mining speed and I thought the durability won’t deplete unless battery is dead.

The durability cost per use is very very low, it uses the battery primarily. You should get a much extended lifetime from the electric tool by comparison to a non-electric.
