Yeah I avoid Explosions in the very first and also second Release of the Reactor to make playing around with it easier. Also there SHOULD be explosion Sounds, did you actually turn the Reactor ON yet? It will auto turn OFF when you insert Fuel Rods while no Coolant is in there.
