Played a bunch of New Horizons but really struggling to get started here
Using Bear’s pack, did a couple of throwaway worlds where I got a crucible up and running with whatever I could scrounge from beaches, but haven’t found a single tin/cassiterite rock and only one copper across all the plays.
In 5 the strategy was fairly clear; dig down and see what was in each chunk, but I’m tearing my hair out here; what’s the expected flow? Dig randomly or just keep rerolling and hope I find copper, tin, iron and coal?
Veins in GT6 are much bigger, I think (hard to compare - size is not fixed). So maybe try exploring bigger area. Also, deserts are a good source of starting small ores.
Apologies, I meant past the initial scavenger state and starting to set up a factory.
The GT5 loop seemed to be coring every 3x3 sector to prospect, and filling up inventory from that for processing. With the geology changes either it’s going to take hours or checking every rock in my path or that’s not as intended, so I might be missing something.
