Didn’t magnetite used to be able to be melted and electrolyzed like hematite and limonite? I guess it got removed along with those, but didn’t get added to the HCL processing chain instead? So the only way to reduce it to iron is with carbon in the crucible now. Oversight or intentional?

Yeah it’s a Crucible thing now.
