this forum is for gregtech 6, i assume you are thinking of unofficial gregtech 5 versions, this also isnt really a suggestion rather just complaining, the reason many modpacks utilise longer recipe times is to incentivise certain practices such as passively producing materials or building larger factories, or simply to just make the game feel longer.
im not too familiar with gtce(u) but gtnh late game certainly feels like late game, and has later game machines to speed up processes (such as QFTs or the upcoming God Forge), it is obviously very grindy but it is that way because many people like grindy games, as it makes it feel more rewarding when you finish the grind.
also unless you are referring to the gtnh stargate i dont know what is taking weeks to craft?
