Grass spreading under water

I just noticed this in the lake,that there are grass underwater

I made sure if it actually spreading,and the answer is it actually spreading underwater,idk if this work in seawater too

Further more,I made farmland but accidentally found out it also can be underwater

Are you talking about vanilla Water? You say Lake so its not a River. But I need to know if it is Vanilla Water Blocks or not.

As for Farmland, yes duh how do you think most old-school farm flood harvesters worked. :wink:

I’m pretty sure it vanilla water, since I pick up (with jug) and it just regular water

Also about farmland.
If it actually feature,it ok
Because I accidentally made it in very same lake

Riverwater will give you a jug full of Water, regular Water should only be half the Jug.

Vanilla grass spreads if it’s own light is >= 4 or the block above it has block light opacity of <=2 and it’s current light level is >= 9 then it randomly choose a location around it within -1…=1 on x and z and -3…=2 on Y and if it’s a dirt block then it replaces it.

So yes, it can spread there.
