So I wanted to get some oil for a distillation tower and tried to pick it up with a bucket and capsule-cell-containers, but neither works. Do I really need to use a rotational pump to pump Oil?

Drain + Pipe + Drum below or next to the GT6 Oil. ^^ Or just use Oil-Shale.
